Hey guys, welcome to new collab of mine. This is the backing track that I will be using for my new lesson, so I though I should give it to you to improvise a bit and test your ballad improvising skills. I will comment with text comments on the spot as always, and it would be great to finish this one before New Year.

Sing up fast, and record fast! smile.gif

The chords are (repeated twice)

|G|G|Em|Em|
|C|C|Am|D7|

Singed participants so far:

1. UncleSkillet
2. skennington
3. Daniel Realpe
4. Sensible Jones
5. edguy
6. Alex Lewis
7. Hammerhead
8. ruben_mcn
9. Nimrandir
10. enforcer
11. Hammerhead
12. Berglmir
13. Staffy
14. Rik Veldhuizen
15.

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

I'd like to join, but I wonder what's the deadline at least roughly? I've got an idea with tapping here, but, since I haven't tapped for months, I need to build up my right hand fingers' calluses, which will take some time. Plus, I'll have to learn the actual licks smile.gif

It's G major smile.gif

The deadline is roughly 25th December, since I want to conclude it before New Year's Eve. But I will stretch it until 30th probably, based on previous experience. SO if you do it until then, it's fine. 2 weeks should be enough. smile.gif

Very good observation! Key of C has lots of common notes with key of G. The only difference is that key of C has F note, and key of G has F# note.
