Of late as moderators we have had to edit, and in the case of repeat offenders formally warn, members who post comments containing language inappropriate and unacceptable for the GMC forums. As a friendly reminder - please read and adhere to the forum posting guidelines.

Thanks,

For the curious ones, there was no nuclear explosion or anything. Have you taken the suggestion to read the posting guidelines?

We just want people to read them, which btw should be the first thing to do for every new member. It's sad to see new and old members fail to follow the posting guidelines in regards of sexism, discussing illegal activities, cussing or anything else that's unaccepted.

It's so easy to just take 5 minutes to read the posting guidelines like suggested and avoid getting into trouble. It's not just one person that has failed, it's a few, and it sometimes happens several times spite we will PM a suggestion to read the posting guidelines. huh.gif

This thread is a reminder to read up on it and avoid failing. I think that'd be the respectful thing to do towards your fellow members, us moderators and GMC in a whole.
So nothing happened, it's just out of concideration for all of you. Old and new members. smile.gif

i think it's a good thing, when things happen (that shouldn't), that people are reminded about the rules.. this is an awesome forum and the tone here is something that is rarely found on an internet forum..

Kudos to moderaters and the users here.. biggrin.gif

Roger that.

Most guitar forums are absolute doggie doo doo. (I didnt cuss)

GMC is NOT doggie doo doo.

Most places if you posted saying something like "How do I dial in Kirk Hammet's tone?"

You'd be blasted for 4 pages with anything from "dial in your OWN tone you _____" to statements about your sexuality, or even worse......

I'm not sure whats wrong with some people that hang in forums. But I sure hope this place remains hidden from them. And if it doesn't I hope the moderators move in with haste and eradicate the trolls.

Long live GMC!!!

I have yet to see anything I consider even remotely inappropriate here.

Never guessed that people here were sometimes ignoring rules ohmy.gif. This is the most friendly community I have ever been on. Everyone is nice, and respects the other players smile.gif.Plus all the members seem to respect and look up to the instructors.

Ive been on communities, like videogame communities, forums and stuff... people there were really annoying and ... well... most of em were just a bunch of *censored* rolleyes.gif . hahah. Esspecially the moderators would always team up to make fun of someone when the disagreed with them.

I guess musicians are friendlier than gamers tongue.gif happy.gif .

Hmmm. I have to say I agree with all rules except this one:

8. No discrimination. Discrimination of any kind, religious, sexual or otherwise will be tolerated.ç

laugh.gif I guess it should read "will not be tolerated", or I might be too sleepy already! smile.gif wink.gif

Nope, it's wrong. As after the first Discrimination there is a full stop, so no double negatives here as far as I can see smile.gif
