Posted by: Kristofer Dahl Nov 26 2010, 11:04 AM
With today's awesome Lamb Of God Style Lesson by Lale I would like to ask what your favorite "New Wave American Heavy Metal" band is?
I feel that this could be a thread where I discover a new band - so please give it your best shot!

Hey Kris!
I think I could chit chat with you on this one for hours )
What's your favourite 'till now?

Well some people put system of a down in this category - so that's a clear winner for me! Some other bands I have listened a little to are Killswitch and Avanged Sevenfold..!

I enjoy the humor on SOD, and the tasty guitar playing in Ax7

Hmmm, do you guys know A perfect circle? It's not necessarily metal but it includes a wide array of mind states and it has a very modern sound

I like SOAD very much - they represent one of the few bands that make truly original music! and Killswitch
those guys are in my player DAILY

Yeah to me SOAD has everything: originality, humour, strong songs with melodies and heaviness/tightness. Oh wait there are no guitar solos?!

Has to be Trivium for me...

Most of these bands except for say Trivium and Lamb of God bore me really.. I prefer the rising wave of technical death metal in america.
