Some of you might remember that I was going to order a new guitar a month ago.

I've always wanted a Gibson Les Paul, so after trying all the different ones out I ended up choosing the new 08 model :]

Ordered from thomann.de, but due to 2 weeks of problems with the payment (caused by them) I began loosing hope and was going to cancel the order this week, but today I got a mail saying they we're finally able to book the money and ship the order! biggrin.gif

I'm really exited right now, can't wait to get my hands on the package and try it out. The ones I tried at the stores we're really HOT! so I kinda hope the one I get is too wink.gif

Cheers!

EDIT:

There was a cool review somewhere on our forum about this guitar, saying it will be a legend one day, so You surely made the right choice:)

Just recieved the package!

It's so damn beautiful :>

There was a damage to the box, and a mark on the hardshell case of the guitar, but luckily nothing inside was broken!! You can see the strings had been pressed into the fretwire, so the g-string around 19th fret have been shaped as if it was pushed really hard into the fret. Also you can feel where the string hit the fret, but nothing big at all!

Uploading pictures in a few minutes, only have my cameraphone which sadly doesn't do the guitar any justice!! wink.gif

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

About the color it looks better in reality, it's a bit darker and orangy-brown and the transition (in the burst) from dark/black to dark brown/orange to light brown/orange is a lot smoother smile.gif

The neck is one of the things I really enjoy about this one. It's got the slick fast feel of a 60's slim taper while still maintaining the grip of a 50's rounded..
