Whammys can be useful, but most of the time i find them to just be an annoyance. I never use it at all.
But it's all individual. If you like to play, or plan to play stuff that involves a whammy, then offcourse go for one

I think the choice basically comes down to what you really need. Do you actually need the whammy bar? Do you want to learn some nice licks and use it in your playing? Then get the guitar with the whammy. If you don't like the whammy and don't plan to use it at all then just get a stoptail and that's about it.

As the others said, it all depends on what you want, if you don't really need it I would definitely go for the one without the whammy. Setting the guitar to a different tuning can be a lot of work on a floyd rose system, and in my humble opinion whammy bars also don't really support the tone of a guitar, I would definitely never ever buy one with a whammy at least.

It depends what kind of player you are, and your style. If you like doing lots of tricks and you know all the crayze tones, you should probalby get it, but if you are not into that stuff then i say no, its just going to get in your way. -------------------- Some ideas i have recorded:

I have an ibanez sa with floating bridge and no locking system and the whammy bar is just a pain in the ass , is there any way to lock the bridge?
