Yet again, I"m ashamed to say, my fellow countrymen (this time in Sacramento California) have debased themselves with violence at a political event. In Sacramento California, several (IMHO misguided) Americans were holding a Neo-Nazi Rally, and were confronted by anti fascists. Instead of talk, they just ran at each other and now people are in the hospital from stab wounds. At least nobody was shot.
It's a sad day when the good news is "at least nobody was shot". I"m surprised we still have neo nazi groups here. And I"m saying this as someone who lived in Stone Mountain Georgia ( The place where the Klu Klux Klan re-emerged in the 1920s led by a man named Samuel Veneble). http://ww2.kqed.org/lowdown/2015/07/24/sto...n-ku-klux-klan/ We all knew were the Venable family still lived in Stone Mountain. We all knew about the klan rallys still taking place (back in the 80's/90's). Most folks assumed it would just shrink and go away as the world became a more globlized/connected place. We were wrong. Every state now has a Neo Nazi group and or klan group and now they are stabbing folks at events. Not to say the blame is one sided. There is plenty to go around. Both groups apparently simply attacked each other. http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-n...-htmlstory.html There is a level of tension growing in the country that I have not ever seen. I was not alive during the last big wave of tension during the 60's, but evidently, it's not been this bad since way back then. Instead of discussion, both sides seem to be arming for conflict, and just waiting for an excuse to assault the other side. I posted several videos about the violence going on at currently political rallies in response to videos already posted showing the violence from another view. I still contend that there is NO PLACE FOR VIOLENCE in political discourse. Sadly I appear to hold a minority view on this and violence seems to be escalating. I wanted to ask.. GMCers WORLD WIDE, QUESTION: Are you seeing violence creep in to politics where you live? |

You are doing the same thing that you call others out on earlier, blowing something out of proportion based on what the media has spoon fed us for entertainment value. I have yet to see what a real Nazi or KKK member looks like in person, nor have I ever witnessed a serious act of violence, nor has anyone I know or that I am related to been a victim of such.
You had a hand full of mindless skinheads out looking for a good time and some attention. And you had a bunch of fools that rather than just ignoring them like everybody else does, went looking for trouble. These are not the problems the world needs to worry about. Over population with depleting resources coupled with environmental damage, WMD's, potential for Pandemic that could be as devastating as plagues in the past, and a world where Wealth and Assets are increasingly being concentrated in the hands of a few, a middle class vanishing, and a lower class steadily growing, those are the problems. Nazi's with tatoos on their heads and dumb asses who just don't ignore them are just distractions. Yet again, I"m ashamed to say, my fellow countrymen (this time in Sacramento California) have debased themselves with violence at a political event. What are "far right wing politics"? It seems the progressives look at people such as myself as far right wing when in actuality I'm more centrist. Are we far right wing because we have certain ideals such as: - Separate bathrooms and locker rooms. If someone has a penis they go to one, if they don't they go to another. - Illegal immigration. Because there's nothing wrong with becoming a U.S. citizen the right way. - Forced multiculturalism via illegal immigration when the immigrants have no desire to assimilate into our culture - Having the right to bear arms (and that not being infringed) because that right is not to hunt deer but to protect us from an oppressive government that would overthrow (or should I say "reinterpret" the constitution. - Being opposed to Islamic refugees because they don't share our values. - Being opposed to abortion except under certain circumstances, but especially late term abortions - Being opposed to globalization, NAFTA, TPP, the Federal Reserve and wanting to audit the IRS. - Understanding that the world's population is not like a bowl of different colored fruit loops that all taste that same. - Understanding that Christians, Jews, Atheists, Mormons, Buddhists, Hindu, non religious (regardless of race or sexual preference) can live together in peace but adding Islam throws a turd in the punch bowl. Does saying that make me "phobic" or afraid of Islam? - Because we don't think it's "racist" to call out an ideology. - Because we see the corruption of the government and understand that we are being led by the nose into a global socialist union where the economic divide will be even greater. Think Venezuela on a global scale. - By seeing the hypocrisy of leftist homosexuals and feminists Venomously scream "racist Islamophobe" at people like me when we are actually standing against an ideology that would subject them to enslavement and even the death penalty. - Because we would focus on "all lives matter" instead of Black Lives matter - Because we know that statistics show that the gravest danger to the urban black community is the black community itself and the break down of traditional families. These are just a few that pop to mind at 5:20 in the morning. But I just wanted to clarify if the above opinions are what are deemed "far right wing". If any of those statements make you cringe and think I am racist - then that should answer your question with the understanding that it would be filtered through a progressive liberal lens. “Far-right politics sometimes involves anti-immigration and anti-integration stances towards groups that are deemed inferior and undesirable. Concerning the socio-cultural dimension (nationality, culture and migration), one far-right position could be the view that certain ethnic, racial or religious groups should stay separate, and that the interests of one’s own group should be prioritised.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Far-right_politics |

Inferior and undesirable groups - absolutely. Although they would deem our standards in the same light. BTW have you heard about the problems the Canadian school systems are having with muslim men hitting on showing lewd behavior to 14 year old girls? This is considered normal where they come from. Just Google it, since videos of news reports aren't considered proof. However here is a video I would rather not transcribe where a former Muslim breaks it down rather nicely. A reason to vet immigrants from Muslim countries. As if Europe isn't proof enough - here is the Islamic reasoning from the horses mouth, and she's a hottie of horse too... But DON'T WATCH!!! Somebody might learn something. |
