No, it's just a collection of parts from over the years!
The body is 15 or so years old and been rebuilt several times (Originally from Brandoni's in London, I think!!). Same with the neck. All the other parts are new and from various sources!

you HAVE to play some metal on that once its finished i mean its pink lol..
I have a feeling that it will entice me back to my youth of playing Crue, Ratt and other West Coast Hair Metal!!!!

Wow, that`s such an 80`s glam guitar, me want
Will your wiki contain every detail required to build/put together a guitar, or will it have some shortcuts which required some knowledge on the subject?

You put the neck on upside down!

It's going to be a pretty basic step-by-step guide!
If I happen to miss anything then it's unintentional but I'll have no problems with doing a Q&A in the forums afterward too!
I am assuming that anyone who wants to have a go themselves will have a little bit of soldering knowledge and can use a screwdriver and a spanner! That's it on the 'assembly' side. Then there's the 'Set-up' which I will probably do as a separate article.

Jones,
Looking good but a little too....ummm.....pink....for me. :-) Though yes, it does have that 80's glam going on.
Couple of questions.
What's the black piece behind the red screwdriver box? Is that shielding material?
Why are there two neckplates? Is it one for each side of the neck joint cavity?
Cheers.

Hey Rob!
Yeah, that's self-adhesive Copper Sheet, you'll see it better in the full write up.
As for the neck plates thing, the ones I use are a metal plate as per normal but it has a shallow Plastic tray that it sits in. It's basically to stop the metal plate digging into the body and stops any marks and indentations.

I know what you mean!! I used to play these Dean Z Superstrats that were finished in the most fluorescent colours possible, the pink ones made this one look positively tame in comparison!! I'll see if I can scan a pic of one of mine.....
Here you are, this pic doesn't really do it justice though, mind you it is about 20 years old!!!

Like I said earlier Kaz, it's not the 'wrong way' round, it's back to front and inside out!!!

Cheers mate!!! Obviously the neck was originally for a L/Hander I built a while back for someone, we ended up swapping it for another with a Rosewood Board and this has been kicking around since! I actually like it's shape when back to front like this!!!
Diary should be up tomorrow with demo's to follow soon!!!
