This is a solo I made after listening to Pablos hirojoshi scale solo. All feedback good or bad is welcome. Also recently iv started sort of learning how to record and mix and stuff on reaper, so feedback on the sound of the recording is also very welcome.
Cheers I've included a better version of the solo. That's what "hirojoshi song 2" is. This post has been edited by Matt23: Apr 18 2008, 07:22 PM

Nice! Has an exotic feel to it and sounds cool.
But I think the guitars clashed a bit. They are a bit undistinguishable from eachother which can sound a bit messy. Some EQ would help. -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio
Amp: Marshall JMP-1 -> Rocktron Velocity 100 -> Marshall JCM-900 Lead 4x12 FX and stomps: T.C Electronics G-Sharp, Korg SDD-1200, Emma Transmorgrifier, BYOC Tribooster, GGG Green Ringer, Dinosaur Overdrive, Voodoo Lab SuperFuzz, Sovtek Bassballs, Line6 Tap Tremolo, EHX Screaming Bird. ___________________________________________________ My Lessons! Thanks for your comments Trond. I'll try and sort this, but what should i do to the EQ. Should i have a different EQ for both tracks or what.

The new version sounds alot better!
The guitars sound more distinct. You did some panning too, which helped too -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio
Amp: Marshall JMP-1 -> Rocktron Velocity 100 -> Marshall JCM-900 Lead 4x12 FX and stomps: T.C Electronics G-Sharp, Korg SDD-1200, Emma Transmorgrifier, BYOC Tribooster, GGG Green Ringer, Dinosaur Overdrive, Voodoo Lab SuperFuzz, Sovtek Bassballs, Line6 Tap Tremolo, EHX Screaming Bird. ___________________________________________________ My Lessons!
