Surprised nobody started a topic on this:
The Scorpions have announced their final tour. While I think this is a wise choice considering their age I also think it's a pity, cause the new album is really cool (after a few weaker ones). They never had such a big reputation in Germany as they have in other countries. So what do you guys think about them?

An online music magazine called this one the best Scorpions song of the last 20 years. Well, it's a nice one:

I love their older stuff! I listened to the new album but I didn't like it very much... I really hope they will visit Serbia during this last tour as it would be awesome to see them live! smile.gif

Agree with You, Bogdan. I remember them since the "In Trance" record from the 70's. They were a real heavy band back then.

They were one of the most influential bands for me. I love all their albums. I need to see a show from that tour for sure.

I have always been a fan of their older stuff (until world wide live), after that I kinda lost my interest in them, but I absolutely respect them for what they did over all those years. We played a festival with them last year and I watched their gig, they almost played all of my faves, it was really cool and most likely I will check one of their shows in Germany.

They are definitely not the most acrobatic, technical musicians, but few bands can match their melodic prowess using simple progressions, especially with their ballads. They are able to convey such much emotion with the simplest ideas. Listen to the song, "Daddy's Girl' as an example, it makes me cry like a little girl anytime I listen to it. tongue.gif
