The tone is very close (good job!), Martys tone sounds only a bit bigger with more presence. Try increasing (the decreased) 3k on the graphic eq and increase the bass on Gratifier amp, the tone is already close so small adjustments would be enough.

Very nice smile.gif

One last thing, on the control room pro-cap edge section could you bring that white circle closer to the center of the speaker? I'm guessing hopefully it will be enough to get the presence of the guitar even more similar to marty's video sound.

Hi Mertay

I have change the micro setup on the control room i go for a Neumann U47 instead of the U67, this is a take with.

do to pay attention about my play, because i do not master this part at all, need a lot of work about timing and dynamics

if other people want to give advices , don"t be shy !

Cheers

Laurent

Hi Laurent, it's great to see that this one is in progress!

There are obvious pitch and timing issues, mostly in the part without drums, but I think that this is on the right track. What I would do is to isolate all those phrases and polish them focusing on pitch, and vibrato. Marty's playing is so expressing and precise, and his phrases are very uncommon so it will take some time to feel them natural.

A good way to adjust details would be to play over Marty's playing for a while and then get back to the backing.

Keep on working on this one, I'm sure it will have a very positive and strong impact in your playing.

This is a challenging piece for different reasons than many other Marty tracks. smile.gif It relies on a very good sense of timing and bending technique. So it's a great way to work on both of those things. O like your tone patch here! smile.gif Please do export and share!

As for the playing, I have to agree with Gabe, there are some timing issues and a couple of bending issues where the note is just a pinch sharp/flat. This is probably the hardest part of the piece. I would also suggest that you break the song down in to chunks/sections and work on them separately then put it back together smile.gif

I think it will be good to play some phrases slower to clean them up a bit to have less unwanted string noise too smile.gif

The less unwanted string noise the better smile.gif I'm sure as you continue to play this bit, you'll find ways to decrease any errant noise. Always remember that muting is a two handed affair. You can mute unused strings with both hands in different ways. One way to find any errors is to listen to the solo without the backing. Just turning the backing track all the way down and listen to your solo only. Take off any delay, reverb, etc. just leave the distortion on. It will let you see if there is anything you don't want. smile.gif

P.S. Thanks for sharing the preset!! I"ll put it in my GUITAR RIG PRESET thread!!!

Todd

Cool patch smile.gif I'm gonna load it up and give it a whirl! Have you tried the wah wah effect yet? your board will let you control the wah with the left pedal.

Here is the same patch as a zip file in case anyone is having trouble with the RAR file.
Attached File  Marty.tfx.zip ( 1.13K ) Number of downloads: 54

I like the overall tone smile.gif The delay may be a pinch to present. Which delay are you using? On each one there is a knob that controls how much delay comes through.
