I realize uploading cover lessons is extremely hard and takes a lot of time and effort.

But I just wanted to float an idea of maybe having a cover by any of the following bands in the future.... if there is enough interest, of course !!

Sepultura - Old stuff, maybe from Arise or chaos AD album
Arch Enemy
Lamb of God or Killswitch Engage
As I lay dying
Devildriver

Or anything in the respective similar genres would be awesome.. ph34r.gif

And if someone makes a lesson to cover "Megadeth - Tornado of Souls" , I will be forever thankful..

Lets hear some interest smile.gif

Yeah I am all up for More Metal real song lessons!
Appearently it is difficult to do songs with the fretboard marker instead of just tabs so real song lessons are a lot more work for the instructor! Ofcourse we will appreciate their efforts!!!

I would really like to see a lesson on Tornado of Souls because I JUST CAN'T FIGURE OUT MARTY FRIEDMANNS PLAYING ON MY OWN laugh.gif

Ya man, I cant even begin to imagine the effort required to make lessons to cover entire songs .. Much respect to all the instructors..

And as for the solo of tornado, it is one of my FAV and i've heard so many versions of it and only a few people have actually covered it perfectly... that solo is just beautiful ... the entire song is actually brilliant smile.gif .. I wouldn't mind having a lesson only to cover the solo for that song, to be honest smile.gif

Coincidentially I'm working on the Tornado of souls solo! It's one of my favorite solos of all time,

No tabs or fretboard graphics will be allowed but you can get the idea by watching the solo upclose and slowed down

You Sir, are a legend.. Looking forward to this..
ALthough i dont have all the techniques down to play this solo but always willing to learn slowly and in a few years time should be able to nail it down.. But have to set it as a goal .. the solo is THAT good in my opinion smile.gif Even after so many years, it still rocks. rolleyes.gif

True..Brutal albums bro .. but I thought about the mass popularity of the lesson in this board, so suggested something from their later career.. There are more chances that people have heard Arise/ChaosAD/Roots than Schizophrenia/Beneath the Remains. SPeaking of which "Inner Self" comes to mind rolleyes.gif

I recently discovered Arch Enemy and bought their latest Live-Album. Awesome band, very beautiful double leads and screaming and growling woman on the mic. Would make a funny singing lesson for sure!

ONE way to easily produce a cover lesson, if you know the song already is to download the program "guitar pro 5" once you have it installed search for the tab at ultimate guitar dot com and down load the "Guitar Pro" File. It will import it into your "Guitar pro 5" and then you don't have to go through hours of tabbing. Give it a try. It can even play the tab back to you in midi sound so you can hear what's correct. its awesome.

More metal fans over here! smile.gif

Yeah, can't get enough of good metal covers. Some Lamb of God and Killswitch Engage would be nice because of the peculiar rhythm patterns. And Trivium anyone? But the list of good classic and modern metal tracks is endless!
