GMC Forum _ Bands and Guitarists _ A Little More Vai

Posted by: jafomatic Aug 14 2009, 06:32 AM

We'll see if I can embed this. It's likely that I cannot, so I'll summarize before I try. Some widespread group of animators around the world have managed to collaborate (on facebook it seems) in making a fully animated film starring personified musical instruments.

Steve Vai is, supposedly, the voice of the main character; an electric guitar that falls in love with a violin. Let's see if I can embed it or if I must link to it.

No clear choice for embed, didn't check youtube, here's the link: http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/livemusic/

even better, we don't have to watch his hair blow around.

Man... He'll just NEVER run out of new avenues for that "talking guitar" gag. I've seen it on a Zappa tune, David Lee Roth song, Passion and Warfare, Crossroads...

This looks like a fun little presentation, though. For whatever reason I'm a sucker for animated movies and stuff. I can watch anything and exhibit zero emotional investment. But, put on The Brave Little Toaster and I'll be ballin' my eyes out...

I'm gonna try to see this.

Lol.

I found an interview where he talked about the fan. I QUOTE :

"Yeah, its to look cool too, because, everyone wants to look cool, dont they? And I'm a poser from way back, so who are we kidding"

Steve just earned new respect!

It was blown away.

Had it not been nailed to the perch, it'd be pushing up the daisies about now.

It is bleeding demised.

It ran down the curtain and joined the choir invisible.

It is an EX-sense of theatricality and romanticism.

Or maybe it's just resting.

It's pining for the Fee-yords!!

It's not pining, it's passed on!

This sense of theatricality and romanticism is no more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. It's a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace.

Bereft of humor, this thread derailment's metabolic process is now history.

Honestly I thought it was really more to keep him from sweating too much. (a la Yngwie)
