GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Your Next Goal @october
Posted by: Gabriel Leopardi Oct 12 2011, 05:17 PM
hey guys! I have started a similar thread some months ago but as we always have new goals to achieve I would like to know which are your next goals related to your guitar playing or music in general. Can we help you to achieve it?
My next goals are:
Working on: 8 fingers tapping Improvisation Fusion style Hybrid Picking / Country Style
Composing at least one new tune per week.
Getting some pedals to use them live instead of the Pod that I currently use as multiFx.
Which are yours?

i will try to make one song each week too, i'm releasing some solo material soon

Great decision Gab, and very good goals. I started to practice again and feel great, wish you lots of good moments practicing and joy that comes out from accomplishing goals, having something to work on..
Having a goal is what counts in the end, that road towards the goal is exciting.
I like your composing-one-song-per-week goal, I didn't think about that much, and it's very important. It's time to create more!

Some great goals! The important thing is to just pick some goals and start moving towards them. Making smaller goals along the way really helps. But without goals, progress is pretty tough. I"d like to write more songs in October and work on completing all the snippets of songs' I've been writing. Completing a song is much tougher than writing just a chunk of one

I plan on learning the Symphony of destruction solo. Also, more importantly; I hope to be able to play in front of someone. I have no problem making speeches to a crowd full of people but I cant play a single note in front of anyone...not even my wife!

Mine would be
1) Releasing the Aria website and 2 songs along with it (I am recording the final vocal tracks this Saturday) 2) Finishing the recording session with Voodoo, for the album release this late November. 3) Learning this...for the December Mozart Rocks!
I honestly don't know if I'm up to the challenge but nonetheless, I WON'T go down without a fight

You'll do it! Maybe you won't be comfortable at first but after some practice you will feel good playing in front of people.

That piece of music is so difficult! I like Romanian dances! My Grandpa gave me some vinyl with many of those dance. It's the power metal version of the classical music!

Annoying Ben so much he's coming to pay me a visit in Germany!
But seriously, now that I got all my equip from my mom's place last weekend (2 more guitars and 1 bass) I want to: Equip each guitar with a different set of strings to: work on my bends and vibrato (with thin strings like 46 - 10) Work on the metal metrcis series (with the really thick strings) write and record 3-4 punk songs (some riffs are already written, but the bass was missing) practice bass and post some bass rec takes, so Bogdan has something to grade Lose a few pounds (okay, this is a recurring goal )

5 long-haired englishmen? Oh wait, Chris doesn't have long hair...so yeah, I can handle that...hopefully. The real question is: can the city of Rottweil handle the 6 of us?

Why do I even bother to learn spanish to go to Argentina if it is so easy to get you here? Wait...yeah, it's because of the girls in my spanish class! (I love this running gag...)
