Well title says it all. After trying tuning the E string,it broke.

What should I do?

E String broke from the nut of the guitar and i cant seem to put out the other end of the string in the saddle.

I have some strings but I dont really know how to adjust them.

Also is it normal from a string to break after some tuning?

Its just a guitar bought 3 days ago.

How worse can it get?

Check this lesson. https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/misc-less...-by-step-guide/

It is unusual for a string to break after 3 days so chances are you were tuning it too high.

If those strings were on guitar when you bought it, they may be pretty old. It happens. You should get a new set of strings and follow the tutorial lesson.

As Bogdan said your guitar was probably equipped with poor quality strings so probably best to change them all.

What type of guitar is it and what type of bridge?

Probably not, the only thing you might wanna do is remove the back plate on the guitar, it's a plate on the back of the guitar that covers the tremolo cavity. If you remove that, it's very easy to slide in new strings, and get the old ones out!

If you can, take a picture. If not, what kind of guitar and bridge is it? Is there a plate on the bottom of the guitar that has to be removed?

electric guitars have an opening on the back that you feed the string through...

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/misc-less...-by-step-guide/

So basically yeah it has a plate should it be removed?

Also does the bridge nees to be removed?

Ok its done the string is removed without removing the plate.

If I have another problem adding the new string Ill post.

Thanks for helping smile.gif

There should be holes in the plate for you to thread the string through.

No. Has anyone told you to flip the guitar over to see the holes yet?

You shouldn't need to remove anything on your strat to remove the string, check the back as others said, there are holes there to insert/remove the strings.

Depending on the model you might have to be a bit careful to avoid hitting that plastic bridge cover on the back when doing so, but it shouldn't be too hard smile.gif

Well I have a Stratocaster and I want to hear your opinions on this.

In the back of the guitar there are 2 holes for each string.1 big and 1 smaller.

Also I cant seem to insert the string on neither of them.

You think the ball of the older string may have stuck in it?

Ah.. i remember when i broke my first string smile.gif Thought i had ruined the guitar or something.
Breaking strings is a quite common occurance, and you will get used to changing them in no time.

String-balls do have a tendency to get stuck in the bridge on Stratocasters and guitars with similar mechanics. You can probably use a needle or similar on the top of the bridge to push it out.

I doubt it's stuck for good. The problem is more likely that the short remaining part of the string is curved over the saddle or curved in the area before it's visible ontop of the bridge.

OW MAN!!!!!After trying to remove the stuck metal ball it eventually popped out.I feel kinda relieved.

Νow to put the new string. The saddle in which the older string broke is teetering back and forth.

Its normal right as there is no string? Also the saddle's screw is a little out.Do i need to adjust it before

adding the new string?

It will be a bit difficult for you to adjust the screws at this level. Instead you can just put the new string in, and make it look like the rest of the saddles. Don't worry, it is normal when the saddle jiggles around - it does that cause it is not tensed up by the pulling force of the string.
