Best advice is to go to doctor ! You will get some exercises and light stretching every day and things will be back to normal.

No matter what you do man, be sure to take some time off, like 5 days and see if the pain stops. If it does, start slowly with playing, and if the pain appears again, go see a doctor. Hope you get better soon mate.

I also experience pain when I play. Mine is due to frustration brought about by sloppy playing, marginal gear, limited lick vocabulary, and uninspiring tone. I want my mommy.

Take a rest and go to a doctor if possible.
Long sessions as you mentioned can bring pain to differents parts of your body: not only your hands, but also arms, elbows, shoulders, neck and back. I know it take some time and when we start practicing we are eager to go for guitar directly, but you should stretch all of those before playing. Specially if for a long session.
