Rules
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi there, here comes my take on Jonathan's Steve Lukather soloing lesson. Notice that I added some 'ornaments'
 i.e. pinch harmonics, and some notes are bit shortened or maybe some grace notes here and there - nothing much (just a couple) and I definitely tried to keep these in 'the groove' of this solo, so nothing major just a simple personal touch. Makes the lesson more enjoyable to play, doesn't feel like a 'school work'. There should be a rule for this too, allowed - not allowed - how much etc. Continuing from my previous REC post, trying to point out what was easy/hard for me. First of all, there some really useful licks in this lesson (for this kind of soloing) and these can be used 'straight from the shelf in similar songs/etudes) - that's actually how I practice this stuff in order to memorize it. I try it with another backing tracks (preferably in different keys!) and if I can play it - I've learned it. It's a lev 5 lesson, but it feels like it's harder than that. Solo begins in the beginning of the etude and goes thought out - no rhythm part. Not so easy to play - time-wise licks. Se that you practice directly in the 'right timing' and don't practice the licks without metronome or backing track. This is what every instructor should recommend for every lesson but for this one it is a must (was for me, if you learn it wrong - hard to get right afterward).
