Have I gone crazy or does that new model MG from Marshall sound alright? unsure.gif

I just have to ask since the old MG was, kindly put, a bit so so. What's your opinion on the new one?

I've based my judgement soley on sound clips since my local musicstore refuse to carry Marshall laugh.gif Fat tone, "clean" distortion, like the old Valvestate 80xx something with preamp tube. That's what I hear. Yummy!

I`ve not tried it, but judging out from Chappers review about it

It sounds pretty sweet compared to the last one smile.gif

sounds like a pretty decent practising, and maybe even studioamp to me

edit: You gotta love chappers and his humour laugh.gif laugh.gif

Sounds good, especially considering the old MGs.

I have played them for a short time, only a couple of minutes at a store...

They are indeed WAY BETTER than the old MGs, especially the built-in effects sound way above the price you pay!
Also there are so much more tweaking options BUT when you switch off all effects you get a good solid state amp but nothing outstandingly good...

Judging by the vid it does sound much better than older MGs. Good move by Marshall I guess.

Interesting video review, I didn't know if I felt amused or scared laugh.gif wink.gif

This new MG sounds indeed better judging on clips! It may do a great job for home practice/recording. What is the price?
