hi kris great site!
question...when playing the A minor pentatonic box 2 my fingering is
E-2--4
B-2--4
G-1--3
D-1--4
A-1--4
E-2--4
is this ok...or should i be using my 1st and 3rd where i am using my 2 and 4...reason i ask is i try to use 1 and 3 sometimes and i get all goofed up...seems to work better when using my 2nd and 4th fingers...maybe cuz its the 2nd and 4th fret of those particular strings in that paticular box i'm guessing?...seems to me that more speed would be available using the 1st and 3rd though!...please steer me straight on this finger thing!...P.S. the diagram i've shown is the most natural feeling of the 2 fingerings for me...thanx much... xtrmn8tr \w/

I don't know for sure but I do it the way you've shown but if you should practice both ways and if one is harder than the other who cares but if you play the harder way when you play for people you might get goofed up so I don't recomend doing the harder one when you play for people. I think it would be easier to do it the way you have shown because you don't have to slide your hand but it is your choice. You could play it either way.

That's how I usually do it - unless I am high up on the neck - in that case Ill use 1 and 3 exclusively.

I actually play the last 2-4 's (b and e strings) with my 1 and 3 fingers.... it just seemed like I was bending a lot of those notes and they are at the tail and of a three position run that you slide into and my 1 and 3 fingers seemed to always end up on those notes...

Just a different way...
