Nope, no such issues with guitars.

Didn't quite understand the question when I first read it -sorry.

As MickeM and Botoxfox say guitars are not an issue. Amps and things (efx etc) that plug in to the mains can be a problem as they may be specified for either US or European voltage (not sure if Australian is the same ? Hemlock or someone might know smile.gif ) . Some amps and efx can be switched between Us and European Voltage btw, or you can get an adaptor or change the transformer - which is what Muris has done with his new Triaxis pre-amp.

A guitar however doesn't pull voltage or current off the mains and so a US one will work with no adaptation in the UK. Same as Japanese one and so on - they are not region specific. The only thing I think you need to watch out for is importation and tax and the warranty smile.gif . At the moment though Euro is good against the dollar so a good time to buy US smile.gif .

Cheers,
Tony

If you are buying a normal electric guitar (not Variax wink.gif - sorry Andrew) you will not have any problems as you plug the guitar in the amp and the amp is the one that takes care of the rest of the things.

Yeah, ignore me on the Variax front - I was trying to be smart. The Variax has to be powered because of its internal DSP circuitry - you can use batteries or a wall adapter or a PodXT. However, this guitar is a complete exception.

All other guitars use either batteries which are universal, or are totally passive meaning they need no power at all.
