Here is an article I wrote about the newest Boss ME-70 pedal board, comparing it to the ME-50.

I will be updating the article to clarify a few things and more pointers.

It was great to read that review smile.gif

I'm thinking of getting one to go with a tube amp I've ordered, what kind of amp do you use it with? Solid state or tube? I wonder if a digital board like this will work well with a tube amp or would kill its "valve" spirit.

I don't care much for the amp modeling part, all I plan to use are the effects & EQ

I got it while on the road, so I have not been able to try it yet with my main amp, a Peavey Delta Blues tube amp. The practice amp I carry with me doesn't sound good under any conditions, wink.gif It's a Pignose. I wasn't particularly interested in the modelling either since I use my Pandora with headphones for practice and recording, but I think the sound out of the Boss is even better. I now plug the Boss into the Pandora and use the Pandora as USB for DAW and headphone monitor.

I expect it to work very well as an effects box with the Peavey because the noise level of the Boss is zero (so far).
I'll be home in about 10 days and will have some updates on how it sounds straight to the amp.

I added the sound clip demonstrating the simulation. You can hear how it makes a huge difference, and I wrote more explaining what users can do with this feature. This is just like the recording output on amps like the Peavey Windsor Studio, and others.
