Something I have noticed after being here a few weeks.

I have been taking a bunch of the video tutorials lately and noticed that it seems in that in order to get good at shredding or playing some sweet metal solos in general I need a sweet UK, Sweden or Norway accent. cool.gif

I just have a stupid Cleveland, Ohio accent that doesn't do anything for my guitar playing. I mainly listen to metal from the other side of the earth anyways so If I can talk like the greats maybe I can probably play like them.

So how 'bout it? laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Lots of shredders here in the U.S. but they are kept down by the man.

Problem is record companies here want people who can only play 3 chords and look like they just rolled out of bed.

There is some kind of myth in the Americas about Nordic Metal, I had a friend back in Ecuador that always talked about Nordic Metal as the best metal, as if it was a musical Genre, a type of metal, he had lots of albums from bands from Norway and Sweden, that I had never heard before or even after I left Ecuador. Bands such as Conception, Dimmu Borgir, Evergrey, Emperor, you name it, if it was from Sweden or Norway, he had it. If it is Nordic it had to be good, if any of you guys make an album you already have a buyer he is in Ecuador waiting for it.

Seeing in this forum that it is not only my friend that thought this way, and there are others, I am beginning to wonder if visiting sweden will suddenly give super me powers, too many great metal bands come from there, maybe it is the food.
