hey Muris
I was wondering if you ever have considered moving to another country to try and make it big as a musician. Not saying your not now but maybe if you were in the USA or UK i think you could actually become a household name everywhere.
I watched a youtube video of you playing and like i said before stuff i hear from you always is getting better and better.Dude in that video you were ripping it up and honestly i think your actually better than many legends or guitar hero's today.I dont know if you make your living straight off guitar but man your just so great at it.
Tell me how you got this good(i know practice ofcourse) but what was your drive? Also did you have a teacher or just learn all this yourself?

Thanks a lot Dan,kind words indeed!
Well I do plan to move somewhere in a while, this region isn't greatest place on Earth I suppose.
Where and when...dunno...guess time will tell.
Mostly by myself with few instructional videos etc.
And lot of practice as you said.
Looks like I have some luck being in that group of people that get motivation
after seeing or hearing some great player or playing in general.
Guess that has been my biggest drive ever, listening to great playing.
Yeah?? Thanks
Gonna teach you how to swim as well
I would just like to add that you stand out as a professional level player Muris ! I am sure you will go far. You have certainly become a heavy influcence of mine!

If you ever come to Houston you can stay with us - I have a ton of vintage equipment - you will be in hog heaven. I can have a real drummer and bass player appear at will - with killer equipment ready to go.
Plus I could take you fishing, ride on jetski, ride in my Corvette - endless stuff. (and you could give me personal lessons)

I think in Oslo, and one of them is in Australia atm, studying or som.
Better be top in Norway instead of low rated world wide.

Oslo ain't that far away from my place. One and a half hour driving, so if you visiting them sometime you gotta come here and visit me and teach me some guitar stuff
Yeah that's true, but there are some worldwide known Norwegian bands though, like Turbonegro for instance.

How are you going to say the U.S. is the greatest country in the world in front of all the people from other countries that use this site also?
I have my own thoughts about our country and I have reasons for it, and there is a thing called freedom of speech which allows me to state my opinion. So why don't you not tell me what to do.
And one more thing. Why are you asking me what my dreams are??? Why does it matter to you?

Final question - If you had one country in the entire world to live in what would it be?
Posted by: tonymiro Nov 15 2007, 07:30 AM
Apologies Muris I missed the start of the shouting - so I'm a bit late to the party.
Nonetheless - guys remember that first you are on an instructors forum so have the courtesy to show them respect - one way is not to turn their forums in to shouting matches. I don't think Muris or any Instructor wants their forum turned in to a flame war.
Again apologies Muris for doing my Moderator bit on your forum.

I believe it would be Bosnia, this is the place where I was born and raised.
And yeas,I always cry when I hear our national hymn even tho it doesn't have lyrics still,sadly...
But fortunately I don't have to choose only one country,do I?
Thanks for the post Tony, your words are always well appreciated!!!!

Great then
No,it's not my own,it's a property of a good friend of mine and we work together there all the time.
My place is more like home studio, basic kit to get instrumental work done, which is mostly that I do.
And when I'm into larger project that needs vocal, miced stuff etc,I simply rent full-pro studio
or I sneak into one on the videos, for free of course.
Man that studio looks real nice.I bet it's like the feeling a kid gets going into a toy store being in there
.I could just hang out in a studio for days with some buddies
.Get away from everything and all the bills for just awhile that would be great

Studio is an awesome place, sharing ideas, creating new music(good or less good),
having a good time with your friends, make few bucks etc.
Wish you the same one day tho!!

Well if you mean by fury the corvette then yes. I have spent the last two hours trying to get the guitar setup correctly. Folks seem to say it arrives in the mail and it's perfect - hard to believe, since it's been bouncing around in the back of UPS aircract/trucks through various climate changes. It needed some work. Had to tighten the neck plus the D string intonation was way off ( I mean way off - sent my peterson strobe spinning). Will let it settle out and see what happens - it's sounding a lot better. I have not plugged it in yet, because if it cannot keep tune then it's going back to ZZOUNDS. I think it will be OK.
Posted by: Muris Nov 16 2007, 03:57 AM
Yep,I meant of Corvette
wish you nice time with new axe and hope it'll stay in your hands instead

My main guitar is a 1961 Les Paul TV Model - nothing can touch it as far as action and feel. It has had one fret job - jumbos of course, and a lot of customization as far as tuners and pickups, but I will get the new ibanez real close to the action on the Les Paul. If all works out, I will put up a review on the Ibanez on the main review board.

I am currently in a mid-life retirement. Took time off to make a CD with my son's and play with them a while. I am a Mainframe Systems Programmer - big IBM systems. Worked for Chevron for 26 years and a large Hospital System in Houston for 7 years. Made lot's of money - I am blessed beyond belief. My Dad got cancer, my Mom up and died, and I took care of my Dad until he died (pretty quick) and then have spent time as the Executor for his will. I am currently looking for another job in the Systems Programmer field. My main love is music, but it's hard to make a living on that. BTW - I am 55.

Well, Italy's probably not the best country for music,
but once you're done with your World Tour you can definitely
come over here to relax and chill out!
Italy's great for holidays!!!
And then we could drive together to Spain and pay Tony a visit!!!
And yes, you are a HUGE inspiration and for sure my guitar hero!
Cheers, Eddie

You might be right. I have spent several hours working on this Ibanez and something is really wrong with it. I told my wife I am taking the vette for a ride - kind of venting anger I guess.
Gee, did some research on Floyd Rose Floating bridges or should I say the Physics of Floating Bridges. No wonder I cannot tune this guitar. Will attack it again - don't want to give up yet.

Yeah, floating might be really hard to control sometimes

Ok Muris, I will pick you up on Sunday at the airport at 2:30PM ET as you asked, we can play Guitar till 10 PM then I will take you out for a steak. Monday morning we can get up and I will take you bass fishing and show you how to catch a 5 plus pound bass on top water, man this is going to be fun. By then your new apartment will be ready and we can jam all night long.
I just need to know what part of this message did you want me to send only by PM?

No way. He is going saltwater fishing with me at my house in Galveston. You never know what you are going to catch in saltwater. I prefer speckled trout, redfish, or flounder, but I have tied onto stuff that will spool your line.
Then we can ride the jet ski which is just about as fast as the corvette acceleration wise.
