Over the years of using many different processors, I haven't used one yet where I liked more than just a few of the factory presets although some have been close enough to tweak a bit to get something good. Usually the factory presets are overly heavy on the FX in an attempt to highlight that aspect of the processor when being demo'ed IMO. I only like a few of the presets on my FX8 as well. and even the ones I do like end up getting tweaked to find something I find more usable.

Same here smile.gif I hated all the 11 rack presets for gain to be honest. But once I built some of my own I loved it. Some units just can't be tweaked to my liking, but some can. Typically most units I've tried have sorta crap presets by default. Just how it goes smile.gif No biggie though, making good ones is not that hard and one can just grab good ones from the web.

If you guys don't like factory preset then kemper might be for you. Since the profile technology does not rely on tweaking a limited amount of amps, but rather have a next to UNlimited amount of amps to choose from (and then tweak if you wish).

Good point wink.gif That's what makes the kemper brilliant. It's every amp ever made and every amp ever to yet be made in one box. Now that there is a floor unit. I think they are going to see an increase in market share.
