This tune is definately motivating,

Wrk you did an awesome awesome job,

I decided to throw my hat into the ring so to speak and did just an mp3 version (no vid)

I tried to keep the same kinda feel, but i definately took creative license with the whole thing without completely gutting it.

Except for the parts where the basic melodic theme is this whole thing is improved, i left mistakes intact as i recorded it rather then a polished take.

This track is really easy to get carried away on with alot of notes i tried to keep it reeled in for the most part. Let me know what ya think

Daniel

I like it smile.gif Another excellent version!
It's amazing how much variety that can be done on this song.

I also like that you included the small imperfections/mistakes in it, added a more real feel to it.

Wao Daniel, awesome soulful take. I can hear and feel you got carried away .. and i'm just following by listening to it 3 times in a row.. ++.

You couldn't know that, but i'm today in a mood between melancholy and happiness and you just delivered the perfect musical background for that .. smile.gif .. Thank you !!

Especially some melodies of yours i will have to try out, as i really like the phrasing in there.

I agree with Trond, amazing how much space this tune have to develop beautiful melodies.

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Sure thing smile.gif

Its very simple, and yet not lol.

Ibanez RG120 stock>GNX3>Sonar 4 PE

The GNX patch i am using though took me a long time to dial in, its using one of those GNX hyper models. Basically as i am sure you are aware the GNX has many amp models, the hyper model function allows you to mix 2 amp models together at various percentages basically.

This patch is a mix of a Dual Rectifier and a Vox 120 roughly about 35, 65 respectively

The distortion stomp model i am using is based on this box

http://www.procosound.com/?page=viewprod&a...=150&id=741

Analog ping pong delay at 450ms with the level around 55, Plate type reverb set at 60

Post recording compressor using vintage style compressor (plugin)

I don't have the program open atm but both amp models have to be EQ'd as well before you blend them, and the output is a 2x12 cab sim

Excellent job Pizzoaro! The only criticism i have is make sure your bends come up to pitch, other then that its dead on man!

Thank you Skalde ... glad you like it !!

I used a POD XT Live, the patch is a modified version of Marcus' patch for his "3-Level-Solo" Lesson. With the POD connected to my mac i used GarageBand for recording. The pickups on my guitar are Seymour Duncan SH4 on the bridge and DiMarzio Cruiser DP186.

If you have a POD, i can upload the patch if you like, or you can download Marcus' patch here. He posted the link in one of his comments.

Also I agree with Daniels feedback about the bends!
