Les Pauls aren't built for Tremolos, you would have to mutilate the guitar to get it somehow installed in the right angle, you would loose the character of the guitar and it won't work too well...I wouldn't recommend it

The guitar needs to be built for a tremolo from the ground up to get the best out of it. If you really NEED o have a kahler trem on a Les Paul you can buy a Gibson Axcess

http://www.thomann.de/de/gibson_les_paul_a...standard_it.htm

It's a les paul with a floyd rose tremolo and some other modifications to make it possible to fully use the trem on a Paul

There's THIS ONE.(White with Black hardware.)

or THIS ONE.(All Black 'Gothic'.)

I'm sure I saw a Black 'Signature' Model with silver Hardware on an eBay shop last week, but for the life of me I can't remember whose Signature Model it was!!!
smile.gif

Update:- It was an Alex Lifeson Signature!!!!

If I was putting a trem on a Les Paul it'd be a Bigsby trem nothing else. Means you don't need to cut into the guitar smile.gif It just connects to guitar simply and many people have the modification done

There is an example. smile.gif

I've put a couple of them on Teles before now. Easy enough to do, but they're no good for Dive Bombing or other extreme Tremolo Techniques, they won't hold Tuning steadily. Great for Vibrato though!!!

Stetsbar. Great alternative to the bigsby if you're doing anything aggresive but IMHO i think it will absolutely destroy the look of your guitar if you want it to look classy. If you don't care about that than i think its quite bad arse wink.gif

There are some Les Pauls with a Bigsby, and there is this new one that even comes with a Floyd Rose, but if we are talking about a "normal" Les Paul, one that originally didn't have tremolo system, then definitely don't mess with it, as said before, those guitars are not built to have a tremolo.
