Swedish Miles. Are they different to normal miles
I hate cold weather and I hate walm weather. Give me temperatures around 17 degrees celcius all year and I'd be happy

A english mile is 1.6 kilometers and a swedish mile is 10 kilometers

Why the difference? I thought it was the same for the whole of Europe?

wow really! could you imagine asking for some directions and being told "its 10 miles that way" you`d think "great I`m nearly there"

When really you're nearer to being 100 miles away

Snow is still far away from here then.
When I grew up 200 km north from here it was actually a huge differance. There we had plenty of snow during winters and sometimes 20 below zero on a really cod day. Here (and I don't live in the city but in a suburb) snow quickly turns into mud/slask
It's wierd though, only 200 km away it's such a difference.

heheeh I didn't know that about miles difference ! I love snow, last year we didn't have it much here, hopefully that will change

A swedish mile is actually the normal thing. It's you guys who drive on the wrong side of the road who are complicating things

Oh I thought this was another movie thread, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0432289/ and it turns out to be about the real cold, harsh awful snow. Man, do I live in the wrong part of the world.
