Can't wait for your takes!

Looks like I am the first one with my Upload...
This is my very first audio recording EVER! It also is my first collab!
I had some troubles with reaper and the Pod Farm so you can call it a rough take, I might make a better one if I find the time. I wanted to do some shreddy stuff but it turned out in a more singing lead take, I am not good at improvising...

Hello all,
this is my take for the Black Stone Cherry collab!
gear used :
Les Paul R9 > Orange thunderverb 50 channel B, attenuator 5, reverb 1, volume 1, shape 4, gain max > SM57 and Studio project C1 > MOTU 828MKII
I wanted to make my bedroom recording at low volume, and enjoy this great BT, so here it is :-)
I tried to build the solo around 3-4 phases and be a no brainer.. that's probably why i'm uploading it so fast
looking forward to getting some comments
LPR9
Thanks for your take LPR9! I'm glad of reading that you enjoyed the backing!
After over a year of trying these, i am getting faster at writing my solos.. This one is half improvised and half written... Only took me an hour and a half to get this one down... even though im still not satisfied with some of the playing in it, but being a guitarist has made me a perfectionist.. Had alot of fun messing with this backing track and kept it in the blues/pentatonic scale with a little arpeggio in there... Looking forward to hearing your comments..
thanks
I just redid my take... heres my new take, i cleaned up some of it and made part of it different... i think its alot better
Thank you Outlaw for your rocker solo!
Here you go Gab. first off, let me apologize for the weak signal of my lead, I think this old Toneport has seen it's best day's. You did say aspiring so here you have what I would consider aspiring.. Anyway, kind of repetitive and may not sound much like BSC also I recorded in two sections . Look forward to your comments and the backing is a heck of a lot of fun to play with.
Cheers,
Steve
Thank you for your take Steve! I'll make the comments when I post the final mix.
I am not a great player that is for sure, nor I am a pentatonic/any other shredder. But I love the backing, and dig the southern rock/black label society style more and more:)
I grumbled in Ivan's collab thread that I have no time for really my best shoot, and my main guitar is in a set up, but because of that I tried to "feel the power" and hope it will reward my other flaws

took me a bit of time to get this together, not 100% happy with it, bit sloppy in places too, but look forward to the commetns
Cheers for putting this together Gabe!

This backing was really cool... it cries for some pentatonic shred
Ok, here I come, it could have been cleaner and more tight but that's what I can do for now...
I wasn't sure how you wanted to expand the backing track - so whether the last beat with the bass is the first beat of the next take or not... or if you wanted to let the final bass note ring and then count in from that part. Either way, you can cut off my last chord if it's a problem
Thanks again for the opportunity, your BSC lesson rocks big time!

Here we are. It's the first time I participate in a metal or shredding collab and I don't consider my playing too "dull". So I hope you like it

Thank you Guys! There are still some participants that haven't posted their takes. Any news?
I'm so sorry.. Exams and tests have completely erased my mind for anything else :S
There you go, I'm proud
EDIT: I have the file without BT, I'll upload this afternoon.
EDIT 2 : Done
Kaznie this it really great, You have good reason to be proud!:)
My take, Gabriel!
It's a bit sloppy, but it'll do
I was going to step record some of it, but it's a bitch to take video of it afterward,
as it's really hard to imitate improvisation!
awesome take kjutte... i see you have no problems with sweeps
I got the same problems as Canis, I`ve been overrun by homeworks lately so the collab has completely slipped my mind
When is the deadline?
Just so you know Gabe I will leave it at my first take. I am not really satisfied with some parts of the impro (sounds boring, bad vibrato) and some licks are badly executed but I can't find the time for another take right now...
Here´s my take. I didn´t practise it much. Some parts were improvised. Youtube video is coming.
yeah! Thanks Tolek! It's amazing when you guys post youtube videos!
Hi Gabe! Here is my take. Better late than never. Sometimes.....

Hi guys ! I don't have the skill nor the equipment necessary to participate in this collaboration, so I thought I'd just watch and listen to all the wonderful posts ! I'm extremely impressed, and hope I can play like you guys some time !
