Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Offa this was really good. Your technique here was very accurate and the timing was pretty tight as well, even during the legato runs, which can be difficult to play at medium speeds whilst retaining good timing.

I notice that you get to about halfway and then you start playing the wrong notes during the remaining runs. You might want to go back, check the tab and make sure you're playing the right modes here.

Apart from the wrong notes, the technical aspect was very strong - good work!

Hi Offa,

Good job with this lesson! Your playing is really smooth and consistent on this take. I don't hear unwanted noises here, everything sound clear and clean. Besides that detail marked by Ben, there is nothing to fix here.

I also think that your tone is very good, it has a balanced EQ and the right amount of sustain.

Congrats!

Hey there Offa!

First of all - this is a very good approach to this lesson. As Ben said - keeping good timing with medium tempo legato is a hard thing. You managed to excute it very well. Tone, mix and playing accuracy are really fine. Things get a little worse once you skip first half of the lesson. I'm sure it's only a matter of a few more practice days to load the licks into your muscle memory - you still look like you're not sure where to place the finger at some spots smile.gif Overall it's a great job!
