Hi Gabriel, Thank you for opening this Thread... smile.gif
Here are the answers to your questions...

- How many time have you been playing guitar?
I started playing guitar at the age of 16, I played in a group for 4 years, then I stopped for 15 years. I started playing guitar 1 year ago when I was with my daughter in a music store to buy his first guitar. I could not resist and I started to play ...

- Favorite guitarists, bands and musicians.
My favorite bands and guitarists Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa, Robben Ford, Poppa Chubby, Eric Clapton, Billy Gibbons... and also Kerry King, Dave Mustaine, James Hetfield .... I love metal bands like Slayer, Sepultura (a the time Arise, Chaos AD), Deicide, Death, Pantera …

- What are your guitar goals?
My current goal is to learn to play the Blues, it is music that I discovered for some time and I fell in love.
This is music that emerges full of emotions.
I also want to play Rock and some metal ...

- How would you like to you see yourself in 5 years (related to music and guitar)?
I wish I played again in a group. Being able to make improvised ... and possibly some live …

- How many time can you play guitar each day?
I usually play 1-2 hours a day.
It's not always easy but I still manage to spend all the days of time to play.

- Do you have playing live experience?
I have already played several times in public when I was young ... a lot of stress but very constructive

- Which are your strong and weak points with guitar?
I may not be the best judge of my strong points and weaknesses.
I have difficulty in chord changes, strumming, Legato,
I can get better in the alternate picking, powerchords, palm muting ...

- What do you know about music theory?
Not much, I have some ideas about intervals, modal, and some with the minor pentatonic

- Can you record videos of you playing?
Yes, no problem

Here's a song I played it 1 month ago
"Slow Blues A minor by Laszlo Boross"

Hi friend! Thanks for your info.

So let's get into blues! This style is a great excuse to work on scales, phrasing, and technique so let's focus on blues during these first weeks of practice.

These are the lessons that I recommend working during this first week:

What are the minor pentatonic scales?

Hi Gabriel, thank you for these lessons, I really enjoyed it.
Here are the takes that I have done today.
The four fingers bend are not easily achieved. I never used my four fingers for bends, but now I find it much more effective but if it requires more training.
I expect your new instructions, thank you again ...

Hi friend! Great to find your videos here!

Great job with everything! The Blues licks lesson is on the way, but you still need to feel more comfortable with some licks and with your bending technique. Some bends reach the correct pitch while other not so the idea is to continue playing this one but doing some complementary bending work.

During the next week the idea is to work on this exercise:

Bending: https://youtu.be/Hh_pYY6UYIw

New lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/BB-King-Blues/

The idea is that you use the blues licks lesson as a warming up and then get into the new stuff. I also recommend you to dedicate some time every day to jam over the backing tracks of these lessons, create variations of the licks and build your own licks.

Hi Gabriel! I could not train me properly. dry.gif
I broke a string with the bends and I took the opportunity to adjust my guitar by luthier. I recovered in a few days ... I will resume the program when I have my guitar.
See you soon!!

Hi Gabriel, I got my guitar and I continue the program. BB King blues lesson really is very interesting, I have a few sections to learn. I improve the accuracy of bends on the lesson Blues Licks 01 but bends to four fingers are still difficult and lack cleanings.
I'll post some videos next week ... wink.gif

Hi Gab, I still broke two strings E row.
I do not have any E string mad.gif
I use D'Addario strings, super light 9-42, but I feel they are not strong enough to make the bends.
What do you advise me as choice of string?

So that's the problem! I would try quitting that piece which I think is unnecessary... if you don't want to quit if you should send it to a luthier to fix it.

Hi Gab, Sorry I stayed a long time without posting a message.

I've been working both Blues lessons for several months but I realize that level four lessons are too hard for me. blink.gif
I go too far, I miss basic things ... I think levels two and three are more accessible to me.

I continue to work on the lessons of Blues but I will want to work mainly on the following lessons:

"Nirvana made easy" to correct my forearm problem frozen during the strumming and
"Bending made easy" to fix my problem of precision bends "

What do you think?

biggrin.gif Hi Gab, here is a video of the lesson I have been working this week (Nirvana Made Easy) I played it at 140, Section 03 poses me some problems. blink.gif
My finger mute the string. I continue to work this section at slow speed.

I also work "Bending made easy" but nothing consistant yet.

I also relearn a music that I played when I was young.
"No Tears to Share by Loudblast" a French band of Death Metal that I invite you to discover "

Hi mate, great job!

Your take on the lesson is good. You can play power chords smoothly and clear. The technique that needs special attention is your bending. The problem appear on each bend, the ones with double stop and also the single string ones. You are not reaching the correct pitch, and in the cases that you reach it, it's not sounding natural and smooth. I recommend you to isolate the bends and practice each one playing the target note and then bending to it.

Also, you could go for any of the beginner bending lessons from our archive. There is one by Darius Wave that is really good.

Hi Gab, here is the report for this week. biggrin.gif

Nirvana Made Easy: I have isolated the bends that caused me problems, there is improvement but it is not enough. I continue to work this lesson, I will post a video next week.
Beginner Bending Workout: I started this lesson, I have two sections left to learn. I noticed an improvement in my bends. Great lesson!
30 Beginner Blues Riffs: I started today, I notice there's a lot of technique I do not know, it's a very interesting lesson. wink.gif

I also work on Todd Bootcamp, but I feel a tiredness in the forearm and the hand that prevents me from playing correctly mad.gif . Is there a special warm-up before or after training?
