They're from the same guy who posted about his Lady Gaga audition a couple of years ago.

Soloing 'outside the box'.

Melodic Shredding

Interesting take on arpeggios. Not sure how practical it would be in my own playing, but i'm gonna give it a go for a while.

I have been checking this and the Shred videos and I really like this guy. His tips and tricks are very creative, I will continue watching his other videos. I'm also practicing this way of playing arpeggios, I like it. There was a guys that said that he didn't find a reason why we should practice these type of technique and I found Levin's explanation interesting:

"Hey man, I totally understand why you feel that way about the technique. It only starts to make sense after you work on it for a while. Ultimately, the result of using the finger is you get more accuracy in the timing. Each note in the arpeggio is even whereas in sweeping, it takes a lot more effort to play each note perfectly in time (especially at slow speeds.) Work on it for a bit and I think it will make more sense."

I would be curious to hear what you do with it and what you think about it. I am gonna try to incorporate some of his soloing outside the box ideas into some stuff.

By now, I'm just practising it... I have been working on my hybrid picking technique, so this adds a new exercise to my list.
