What do you think about this guy? Some of the things he talks about are sounding strange, but when you think about it, it's perfectly logical.

From a scientific point of view:-
how can we hypothesise about these class 1, 2 & 3 types of civilisations if we don't know that they exist?? Seems like a Catch 22 situation!!

He really is a brilliant guy. He does say some wacky stuff sometimes, but I"ve read quite a bit of his work and he's a serious scholar/academic/scientist. He is one of the scientists owning up to the fact that scientists under estimated the "Solar Max" sun activity that is about to hit and encouraging companies to reinforce their satellites and such to keep from having some problem when we get a big sun flare. It's a BBC clip, he is toward the end.

First there is Carl Sagan, then there is Michio Kaku. Brilliant man, great speaker, great thinker. He has contributed much to the understanding of complex theories, I highly recommend his books, they are fantastic.
