You also get to post on the forums by becoming a member Sonny, that's really important! smile.gif

Lots of stuff happens here: competitions, collaborations, instructor interaction, MTP & REC programs, and best of all, thousands of awesome members willing to help & talk guitar with you. (On top of all vids/tabs/gp files).

Good luck with that F chord!

The best way to think that F chord is like you're playing an E major chord but a half-step up and the open strings now they're played with the barre with the index finger.

I hope this helps biggrin.gif

I totally agree with Ramiro here !

It also helps to look trough lessons members posted in this thread. You will find slow videos that should definitely help you see and learn proper hand position and fingering.

You know the next question will be how do you position your fingers for an E Major chord tongue.gif biggrin.gif

Best of luck with the F chord learning. It can be quite tricky at first to get your head round some chords but as you practice they become easier and easier and you change to them without even thinking. I'm glad you're not scared of asking questions as you need to to become a better player. It's best to learn how to finger chords properly so you don't have to relearn in the future.

Again good luck with your guitaring and welcome to the boards smile.gif
