-To be able to play metal music and play by ear.
-I'm not sure I know what my weakness is yet because I'm only starting, but I do need to push myself.

First I would like to give you some hands workout exercises those will develop your alternative picking technique very fast!!!
The trick is to practice it at a very slow tempo and get full control over your hands!!!
It is very important to master mechanical exercises you will get great results and will see progress very very fast!

Hey Alex! I'm good thank you and just today I wanted to ask you a couple questions; I think I understand how to play all the exercises but I am not sure about the rhythm or timing... or if it's just playing each note with a metronome? Also my guitar is tuned down to Drop C because of a different lesson I am working on, is that a problem or should I play it just the same regardless of the tuning difference?

Also tuning doesnt matter it is more about rhythm and timing than notes!

I am glad you like it! Yes just have fun and jam using those two positions ! Try to be as melodic as you can, also question and answer technique will work perfect for it!
