i was bored so i sort of ad libbed a crappy 2nd guitar to the backing track. i made sure to make it barely audible because im self consious and i know it sucks lol
but at any rate at least i tried biggrin.gif
il work on soloing if youre not full up on the collab, that might be a little better, i only spent like 2 minutes on the 2nd backing part rolleyes.gif

Posted by: Milenkovic Ivan Dec 19 2007, 12:23 AM

@Joey

Don`t worry I`ll try to mix it up well.

@cofeeman

You forgot to give me the other track. You must provide a track with your guitar only, so I can mix it up properly. PLease sned only your guitar, that is a very interesting soloing you got there smile.gif

when's the collab over?

Posted by: USAMAN Dec 20 2007, 04:46 AM

a quick noodle job...its kinda sloppy. I've had no time to do anything lately so here is a first take hack track.

Dont be to harsh on me, this is my first upload.

Peace.

This backing track has a cool groooooove.

Okay here's my first collab upload. Having listened to the other entrants I'm some way short in my improvising skills! You guys are fantastic!

I need to find a better way of importing the backing track with Riffworks. It's ok sound quality wise but could be better.

I think you may recognise the opening riff as a nod to funky town!! laugh.gif

Looking forward to the feedback, constructive I'm sure wink.gif

edit; I've listened to my improv a day after I've done it and I really think it's terrible compared to the others sad.gif . I could do with some pointers on how to add some 'colour' to my lead work. Its an area I really struggle on.

@fatb0t

Great effort man, but you must provide me a recording of your guitar only without the backings also in order to participate. I need only the guitar so I can mix it up properly. Can you send it please? smile.gif

PS Only THREE MORE slots opened for funky soloing collab. Record them soon smile.gif

Not the debute, but it's only the second thing I ever recorded and posted tongue.gif first was the In You'r Style collab

I'm just using my BOSS Micro BR, plug in my guitar, and it records directly on it, and it has 80 preset effects, I hate most of them but till I know how to tweak them properly I'm using them.

I have a micro br...Boom...a really cool unit. I use it sitting in the lazyboy all the time. Its a Kick a$$ practice tool. Does a great job at recording....kinda a nasty learning curve though. Its one of those devices that does so many different things its really hard to use it to its potential. I still think its worth every penny though. Im just to a-d-d to figure it out completely.

Posted by: Milenkovic Ivan Dec 22 2007, 05:29 AM

Yup, exactly, I don't regret getting it but it will take me a while to figure out how to use its full potential smile.gif
