Awesome post/find, and thanks for the info! I'm just not starting to explore Ibanez electrics, and have been looking for a MIJ RG500, or similar, to try out. I have played a Jem, because our second guitarist in EMULATOR plays one. In fact, his sounded and played so amazingly that I wanted to try some others.
When you find YOUR neck, you just KNOW it! That's why I bought my Parker. The tone beat out my strat, but the neck just felt amazing! I was able to perform intense EMULATOR runs much easier from the first minute I played it. Then I modified the tone to my tastes, with a Gibson 335 pickup in the neck (thick, lush jazz tone! Screams too!) Anyway, it seems like there may also be "my" Ibanez....I just have to find it! -------------------- Check out my awesome Nintendo Cover-band, EMULATOR!! http://www.reverbnation.com/emulator Now.....go practice!! |

They look tiny compared to Tyler necks!
Tyler standard neck 1st fret thickness .845 12th fret thickness .975 Wizard neck 1st fret thickness .669 12th fret thickness .787 I have small fingers but I think the wizard neck would bring on hand cramps really quickly This post has been edited by PosterBoy: Oct 12 2012, 09:54 AM -------------------- My SoundCloud

Ain't this the truth. I've had more guitars in my possession than I should have, because it was a lot of wasted cash. I've had an ESP-LTD, Gibson, Schecter, Washburn, BC Rich, PRS, Dean, Ibanez, and MusicMan. 2 years ago I hit up Guitar Center and the assistant manager of the store picked up a MusicMan JP? (We don't know the exact model other than its a family ball reserve). He's like dude check this thing out you may like it. I just played a few chords, a couple of licks, let my friend try it, and gave it back. I was sad to let it go because it felt like it was made for me. Well few months ago I went into Guitar Center and I seen a used MusicMan. Picked up and played it, I'm sitting there like could this be that very same guitar? Assistant manager walked out just then. Oh dude whats up? I was like by any chance is this? Yup that was mine, needed to get a better down payment for a house. Lets just say I sold my half-stack to pick it up. I don't regret that at all to this day, I smile every time I pickup the guitar as I jam. -------------------- Guitars:
