GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ New Tyr! :)

New TYR album is coming out (for any fans here on GMC) and the first bits are on youtube. First track with album graphics. I'm diggin it Doesn't break any new ground or anything, just glad to hear new bits from TYR

I first got in to them on the cd called LAND where they sang in their native language of Faroese which is something similar to Old Norse, or as close as is still spoken. didn't understand a word, but liked it anyway Heres the new vid.

Intro was okay but like you said Todd, many bands have similar songs. And I was expecting some high speed soloing but...nothing happened. Maybe there's better ones in the album. TY for sharing though

Edit: This kinda solo I was expecting from 3:00 ->

Have you heard this band Todd ?

As STRATOVARIOUS clone bands go, BATTLE BEAST is quite respectable. Good production, playing etc. But it's a tad key heavy/guitar light for me personally. But hey, that's why there are plenty of bands out there right?

It's got spiff early Iron Maiden vibe thrown in which I'm diggin.

Cool, TYR has some great stuff
And I don't mind there not being high speed soloing, the solo that is there is melodious and well written.
Sounds promising
