Of course not  Now, the problems I had from the start was that while the new strings stretched and I had to retune the tremolo raised up out of level. So once you get the strings done you might have to set up the tremolo, at least mine had a crappy setup from the factory/store. I'm used to Floyd Rose from my old Charvel so I was able to first off notice there was a problem and second being able to correct it. I can imagine how guitarists who are not used to a Floyd rose will play with it and just think it sucks. But I tell you, when it's tuned in right it's a dream! You can either stretch the strings by hand using force, but I tend to pull em off so I quiy that, instead I play for a few hours bending and using the whammy bar, retuning constantly, until it stays in tune. Important for you. Check if the bridge raise up when you tune it after it goes flat. Then in needs to be set up. Setting up is like: If the strings are stretched and you see the tremolo raise it's because your tuning is putting to much tension on the bridge. Then you need to remove the cover of the back on the guitar and screw the two screws clockwise, just a quarter of a full turn, tune the guitar and see if the tremolo is aligned. My trems body should be aligned with the guitar but there are also the kind that has a notch on the side which you should aim to get aligned. -------------------- My bands homepage

i havent changed the strings, i am bad for that, i just dont change them. I think it needs a setup, cos as i tune it again and again, the bridge raises

The two screws holding the springs have to be tightened. You can simply do that with a screwdriver. If you want to do it yourself. 1) Losen the scrwes by the nut 2) Remove the cover on the back 3) A good idea might be tune down to remove preassure on the bridge, also put all the fine tuner knobs in mid-position. 4) Tighten the two screws you find behind the backcover. Try with 1/4 turn or turn. Be sure to use a screwdriver that actually fits like a glove to the screw. You don't want to ruin the head. 5) Tune the guitar, check if it's leveling with the guitar body (the notch on the side if you got one. if not it's the top of the bridge) 6) Play for a while, some careful whammying and some rough bending on all strings. 7) Check tuning. If it's out of tune, tune it and go back to point 6. If the bridge raises go back to point 4. If it stays in tune fasten the back cover, tighten the screws by the nut and you're good to go with a tuned in Floyd rose tremolo

yea, i moaned and bitched at the guys in the shop to fix it since they didnt give me it properly set up anyway, so hopefully they'll have it done by tomorow
