Can you put your backingtracks on abelton ??? how ??? cause they don´t appear in the program search option and i can´t drag them to the program neither ..=S
Yes - you need to point Ableton at the folder where you have stored the tracks. You can then drag and drop the backing tracks to the interface and it will load as an audio file.
If Ableton can't see the file then you can direct it to search if it's in a bookmarked folder. Click the icon that looks like a folder with the number '1' in it - over on the far left of the Ableton screen, it's one of 7 small icons that go down the screen just below the menu bar. Then click the magnifying glass icon and it will bring up a search field. Just type in the name of the the file you need.
Alternatively if it isn't in a bookmarked folder you can point Ableton directly at the folder where the tracks are. Click the folder icon again. Double click the top one called 'Parent Folder' and keep clicking it until you get the drives for your pc. Click the arrow against the drive where you've stored the audio folder. It will now display the top directories for that drive. You now branch to your folder.
the files don´t apear on the search engine .. i can see alll the folders but there is nothing inside when i open them :S
The search engine only search in the currently selected Ableton folder (1, 2, 3, etc...). You should see MP3s if you're in the good folder.
i can see the tracks when they are in wav .. but i can´t see the mp3´s is this normal ??
I an see both - I don't know though if there is a restriction on files types depending on whether you have the full version or a 'lite' version of Live! Mine's a full version btw.
I have the lite version and can see the MP3 files. But you cannot read MP3 if you have a v4 or lower.
I have the live lite vs. 7 and i can´t see or drag or do anything with mp3
