Youtube Comments Options

Saw this on facebook, a little girl had been making science based videos and sharing them on her youtube channel. I never watched it but from the comments as I understand she was having fun doing it and even had 2000 subscribers.

You can see her on the picture and the pasted comments are hate comments she got which are all about her appearence, some girl even wrote -if she looked like her shed kill herself...as even many adults gave-up cause of such comments what could she do? its said the last 1-2 videos she shared, she hide her face but soon later removed all her videos.

Now this post is being shared to motivate her again, hopefully she sees it. Spammer, Troll...we got so used to hear/describe these kind of people its almost as if an ordinary but it shouldn't be

Edit; Seems just an hour ago she shared a video saying she will continue to make videos, good for her

Unfortunately I think there are adults too, but of course I can't be sure. I've heard of many cases where people are acting inappropriate, even people who are older that should know better, but somehow they were never taught proper manners

I agree. The "Idiot Patrol" of losers and Trolls take great pleasure in bringing folks down just to make their own lives seems better. It's quite sad.

Actually this kind of "cyber-mobbing" is not only present on youtube. This summer my niece graduated from high school and we attended the ceremony, which was quite good till the end. Director of that high school particularly addressed his thoughts to all parents since there has been a girl who was offended and attacked via messenger and facebook and stuff. Seems like she was close to a suicide.

Well, people just act before they think. And most probably just to hide their own low self-esteem.

It's a sign for all of us...I mean mostly the part that has small children or is planning to have some. We want fix this generation and of course there will always be people like that. But...we can teach our children to be aware of doing this and to understand the affect on other people psyhical health condition. I know most of reasonable people do so but I guess this field needs some extra pressure to keep reminding how bad this kind of behavior is. That's the only thing we can do for a better future. Of course...if we exclude annonymous activities in the web, there could also be an affect on level of trolling. For example...it matters if you see who does write the comments. Some complains written by 13yr old kid would simply make you laugh, rather than bring your down.

For now the only solution is to not care....to ignore, but I know not all of us have a character strong enough to pass it...

I guess it's easier for adults to look at it that way. I'd say it is for me at least, but I think for a teenager it can be crushing to read such comments.
