So I think I sort of figured out a problem with my favorite guitar, I woultd have trouble doing sweeps especially on higher frets, I though maybe the frets were too small but a friend mentioned that the action was really and he couldnt play on it..... Effin thats what was messing with me! So I lowered the strings and VOILA sweeping like Muhammed Suicimez (not quite ) but now my strings feel a little spaghettish. I tune down to DGCFAD and use 11-48s anything that can be done or am I just used to breaking fingers to bend? If its just what Im used to then I can get over it quickly but if I should be using bigger strings I'd like to know... But yeah thank God I didn't have any annoying spring/floating trem issues like I thought I got the same problem i feel that the strings are to high from the fretboard but i dont want to do the setup myself.... Maybe i am going to take it to the guitar store and have them look at it -------------------- My Gear

After all that be sure to check the intonation and the truss rod because that kind of changes could requier a calibration.
Good luck with your new setting. -------------------- |

Every string should be checked for intonation man. Try them all on 0 and 12 fret, they should be in tune. For details here's a tuning tutorial. Cheers
