"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

I was, but I wish I had been borned in the 50'ths so could remember this, since I was only one year old when this band was popular.
However I remind my first favourite song - and the first record I owned, which was the one below. "Pretty Belinda" with Chris Andrews from 1969, the song is absolutely terrible, and once You heard it, its impossible to get it out of Your head!! But I think it was therefore we 5-years old kids liked it at the nursing school.... laugh.gif I wish I would have been borned at least 5 years earlier, cause then I would have listened to Hendrix instead!!! biggrin.gif (ok,ok, later I had Purple, Zeppelin, Sabbath and all the other guy's though.... so I'm not whining here...)
