I just posted this in another post, but thought some people might not see it so I made a post just about it.
If you have any interest in David Gilmour you must check out this site!
http://www.gilmourish.com
It has indepth looks at his rigs, guitars, set-ups, backingtracks. It even has detailed descriptions of his set-up for every album, talking about which effects he used, what guitar set-up, what amps he used etc.
It's very good, trust me
Oh great, I'm going to be lost in there for hours. But seriously, thanks for that, it's awesome.
It's a good find, ain't it. The backing tracks are outstounding, especially how many there are. It's even got see emily play!!
Gilmour is one of my favourite guitarists and one who made me pick up the guitar. I borrowed dozens of BTs from the site... thanks for the share, i thought i would refresh this thread a bit
Just want to pop that thread up a bit. I discovered that website today (http://www.gilmourish.com/) and it is really awesome. It has some great explanation on how to create a tone, not only a Gilmour tone.
Good link, great finding...
This guy that takes care of this site is a true hero. So much information and interesting material. Really thanks for sharing. No way I can read it all in one go but I'll do little by little
Yeah this is a great site, found it a while back, his insights into DG's playing and tone are brilliant!
Yes this is a great site indeed... I found that one a while back... The guy has really put a lot of efforts to explain all the effects Gilmour used to use...
His own band 'Airbag' are really worth a listen. There used to be D/L links from the Gilmourish site!
That is a great site. I already gave the link on the chat, but here it is again:
