I am studying your lesson on "Picking Hand Basic".
Regarding the triplet, is it fine to play them DUD DUD... or should I use constant alternate picking?
(I know the answer will be do both!!)

Hey Carmine, please try to stick completely with 100% alternate picking for this lesson itself, as it is designed purely for AP

That picking stroke you mentioned is a good trick that does work and I've used that pattern myself.. but try to get your AP more solid before instroducing more unorthodox picking patterns if you can.

However, it doesn't mean you shouldn't use that approach when playing any other time.. after all, guitar playing is personal. So, myabe both would be the best answer !

I will go with AP. however I find very tricky to tap my foot once and play three notes instead of two. I tried to say tri p let but doesn't "feel" natural.

I ususally follow a 1,2,3 1,2,3 or a 1,2,3 4,5,6 routine. I focus on the first beat of each 3 to stay in time

Eventually you can just focus on the quarter note beat and know that each time you're playing 3 notes for each 1.
