If it makes you feel any better, I saw him a few weeks ago and he's still playing through a marshall . He was just using the AxeFX for effects.

Satch is probably the main guy who made the ds1 pedal famous, always used it through a clean marshall. Later he made a deal with Vox and had signature pedals, the satchurator sold a lot as it was the best ds1 upgrade out there (the ice 9 was also very good, its a ts9 with a boost and bass knob) which was still affordable.

Vox and satch split recently (was an odd couple anyway...) and now those pedals can only be found used (can be considered collectable, grab one if found decent priced). I guess this all Axe Fx thing won't go forever, not that I personally care extreme for Satch tone but even for me this is an odd 2016 photo...
