(PRESS PLAY THEN READ)

Hey guys has been a while n finally managed time this week polish up some ideas on this track I made

Lead Comments: (been working on my phrasing and being aware of Intervals over the chord that is being played over n tryng to be melodic whenever possible = )

Rhythm Comments: playing 100% in time with every chord that is strummed can still be a struggle for me at times sometimes I think I got it when Im actually a hair off n its like REdo over n over lol .. If I got off beat in parts of the song plz forgive me

Other comments - I definately experimented abit here I occasionally switching modes (Phrygian,Lydian, and Aeolian) but I wanted to give it a shot, plus I heard that Jazz and Fusion players do it all the time anyway I think Im bout finished with this track maybe redo some notes I've messed up on n maybe get the rhythm part a bit tighter but anyway I hope u like , even if its only for a brief moment

Hey mate smile.gif The composition is nice indeed and I think that if you spend enough time to fix the timing issues, it will be a blast!

It seems a bit strange to me, that you had such an amazing performance on the last track - that video in which you improvised over the Staind track, I mean - there were no timing issues there. What happened here?

could be a number of reasons
"Staind's timing on the backing track was perfect so I only had to do keep the lead tight" when Im doing my own backing track like this one I think My rhythm is not tight enough and then throws off the rest of the track, But I will try and make some adjustments when I get off of work tonight

Indeed You timming issues take some piece of attention from harmony. Nice ideas and groove but You know there is also a lot of work to be done. Tension through all the composition is very constant - we need some tension/release relation. I advice to sit down with drums -change the cymbals, add some more beats at some points - just don't let those be the same all the time smile.gif

Hey Darius Wave thanks for listening and the advice on working on my rhythm , as far as the drums I definately agree and there is much I want to do with the drums

However... although I have Ez drummer I dont yet have a software that can enable me to use Ez drummer, leaving me with a handful of drum presets that came with my multi-effect pedal. some new drum stuff is much needed I know = ) atm I am planning to upgrade to a "Sonar X2 studio" Software am saving atm so will be a matter of time before I can use Ez drummer hopefully by the end of the year is my goal
