Hey Gabriel!

I do think that the second half of the Gary Clark lesson is very hard to play over backing track. I can see my progress when playing main riff but the parts after main riff is hard.

yes, rhythm and timing can be tricky when playing blues licks, and it is even trickier to play licks slower. That's why I think that you can use guitar pro to play along with the lead guitar. You could also create a multitrack project that includes the backing track and the midi guitar to play along and different tempos.

Okay I will use guitar pro for the lead guitar. From the progress I have seen so far in my recordings in Reaper, it shows improvement.

Here is my update Gabriel smile.gif I do think my timing was very good on this one, I could only hear a few timing issues when I accidentally misplayed.

Hi Alex,

Good job! YYou are right, your timing is very close on this one. The work is starting to show important results. I think that you are ready to increase a bit the tempo. Ok?

Awesome, it is fun that you can see my progress.
That sounds great, how much should I increase the tempo?

Great! Should I practice it same way as last time by recordings myself and practice over backing ? Or only guitarpro and backing?

It depends on how you feel with the rhythm and timing. If you are already comfortable with it, it's not necessary. But if you notice important timing issues again, you can use the same method with the new tempo.
