Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Modal Madness: 2 string patterns by Zsolt Galambos

Not the most complicated lesson, but serves more as an update for the AP-technique for the mentoring program. Also, "detuning" is done via Digitech The Drop, confirming that the latency is sufficiently low to use it on solos as well, if anyone cares :)

Hey there!

First of all your aP skills are really fine - consistent and even (strength-wise) playing. Timing is tight as well. I see nothing I could suggest to fix looking at and listening to this take. There were 2 or 3 spots that the right/left sync was not perfect and some noise got visible but i bet it's just a case of a few more attempts to rec the take and you could easily clean this up. It's easy to recognize when there are some obvious causes of those things to happen but in your takes there are none - maybe just a few more minutes of warm up or a few more takes and I'm sure it would be perfect smile.gif Well done

Really solid playing my friend. Only a couple of moments where you can hear slight noise disturbances due to a small loss of coordination but everything is great. Really relaxed picking technique as well.

Good job!

Hi mate,

this take shows that your alternate picking is in very good shape. It sounds consistent most of the time, and except in some little section where there is a small sync issue or an unwanted noise, the overall sounds flawless.

Next time, try to put the backing track louder in the mix to make the video sound closer to the original lesson.

Keep on the good job!
