Sir yes sir ! smile.gif
let's begin I will try to be clear but my englsih is not so good !
I practice since maybe 6/7 years but more seriously since 3 years I taking guitar lesson one hour per week

My goal : Be better to sound groovy , be able to improvise jam and create cool licks and mix it with chord

My weakness : i switch between many lesson , and any day i try new stuff , it's hard to me to be focus on one thing and build a strong and structure pratice routine , Im very Hard with me and i think im not so creative. Now i m little lost in my way of learning i don't know were to go to be better.

My strongest point : i know a bit of theory i understand how build a chord , i use a lot seven chord , i know my 5 pentatonic shape and some major scale , my major and minor arpegio with the caged system, but i sound quite boring with all that material , and i aslo have a good speed at the right hand for chord rythm and alternate picking ( but my left hand are a bite late sometimes )

My favorite guitarist : Mmm It's difficult i Love all style maybe it's my problem Morello , Hendrix , Gilmour , Queen of the stone age , James Brown , Nile Rodgers , Bob Marley , Bill whithers , Pearl Jam , Jeff Buckley ... I listen Jazz , blues , World music ...
I really love old school groove from 70 , and in moderns stuff i listen also some stoner and metal , DAMN I LOVE MUSIC !

I play a lot at home , and with a friend of mine who is a drumer , I have a lot of muscian friend and i Love Jam with us !!!

My weapon : i Have a fender stratocaster , and an Ibanez Rg tune in C , also a folk and 2 acoustic wink.gif

Hope you can understand me , and Happy to join the army smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Your English is very good and I understand you perfectly!
I like start and Ibanez those are some great guitar choices!!!!
Since you mentioned that you want to start making your own licks and learn grooves
I would suggest we start with this:
Let's use this backing track
it a II-V-I progression in E minor
So the chords are:
Emi7 - A7 -Dmaj7
http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/ii-v-i-jam
Let's take E minor pentatonic in three boxes

E |----------------|----------------|--------3--5----|----------------|
B |----------------|----------------|--3--5----------|----------------|
G |----------------|--------2--5----|----------------|----------------|
D |----------------|--2--5----------|----------------|----------------|
A |--------2--5----|----------------|----------------|--------5--7----|
E |--3--5----------|----------------|----------------|--5--7----------|

----------------|--------5--7----|----------------|----------------|
----------------|--5--8----------|----------------|----------------|
--------4--7----|----------------|----------------|--------7--9----|
--5--7----------|----------------|----------------|--7--9----------|
----------------|----------------|--------7--10---|----------------|
----------------|----------------|--7--10---------|----------------|

--------7--10---||
--8--10---------||
----------------||
----------------||
----------------||
----------------||

I want you to combine those three pentatonics and create your own licks
here are some examples:
E |----------------------------------------------------|
B |----------------------------------------------------|
G |-----------------------------4--------------5-------|
D |--------2--5-----------5-----------5--7-------------|
A |--------------2--5--7-------------------------------|
E |--3--5----------------------------------------------|

-----------------------------7--10------------------|-------|
-----------------8--------8--------8--10------------|-------|
--------4--7--------7--9-----------------7--9-------|-------|
--------------5--------------------------------9L---|--9----|
--5--7----------------------------------------------|-------|
----------------------------------------------------|-------|

-----------------------------------7----------------|
--10-8-----10-8-----10-8--------------8-------------|
--------9--------7-----------------------9--7--4----|
--------------------------9--7--9-------------------|
----------------------------------------------------|
----------------------------------------------------|

-----------------------------------3--5-------------|-------|----|----|----||
--------------------------------3--------5----------|--5----|----|----|----||
-----------------------------4--------------7--4----|-------|----|----|----||
--5--------------2-----5----------------------------|-------|----|----|----||
-----7--5--2--------2-----5-------------------------|-------|----|----|----||
--------------3-------------------------------------|-------|----|----|----||

The trick is to be as melodic as possible don't worry about technique just try to create some cool phrases!
I did some string skipping and tried combining all three boxes into one lick this is a good concept to start with!
Let me know if you have any questions!!!!

ok im tired and decide to post something
this is the first time i record myself so I had some problem ,
First one: to record me and make the soft work ^^
Second : heard me , damn i feel like the first time i took the guitar
Third : I had maybe hear and record on that backin track 300 times, and any time I make mistake...

I try to see the postive thing i hear my mistake and maybe it help me to will be better, I realy need more technique and more timing smile.gif
sometimes I sound out but i think cause i have not analize the II V I and dont play the common notes in that 3 chords
I just play with my feeling and around the scale

It sounds really good and melodic!
I like the second take better! You did a very good job!
Now let's try to do the same thing but add some effects maybe delay and chorus?
I like how it sounds you are on the right track!
Recording yourself will help you a lot!

I had add some effet with guitar rig , chorus , and reverb
This is a really hard exercise but feel it's effective , hard to find groove licks , and think it still sound boring , maybe i should modulate ?
for exemple Em7 ( Em penta ) A7 ( A mixo) and DM7 ( D Penta Major ) ? or add some triad ? I think also i need maybe more vocabulary licks ...
Thx for your help , see ya wink.gif

It sounds very good! You did a great job! On take 2 and 3 it's hard to hear guitar! Take one was great very melodic and very nice!
Now let's add Bmi pentatonic to it!
I want you to use this two boxes:

We will add triads later for now I want you to focus on learning how to combine pentatonics! It's a very good exercise and it will help you a lot!

Just Few question , why using the Bm penta , cause it's the relative minor of the D chord ?
And does use this Bm penta just during the D chord ?

Bmi is easier to understand since we are working with Emi already! Just easier to think minors in this case
You can play it through the whole track! It will work fine smile.gif
