Marek Rojewski - Hammer On Dude |

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Another of my favorite lessons, first take recorded and posted - my way of avoiding the REC syndrome, and ending recording session after an hour without anything I like:P Gear: Schecter Devil + Toneport GX This post has been edited by skennington: Mar 8 2010, 03:57 PM |

Hi Marek, not a bad take to start with, but there are still some issues that need your attention. There are a couple of wrong notes and also your bending and your vibrato need some more practice, those notes also tend to sound out of tune (this is a common problem that many students still have by the way). The biggest problem here is your timing though. When you practice such things like this lesson, make sure to practice with a click track and really pay attention to your timing. Start slow and only increase the tempo when you are really able to play the part in that speed. You can of course also practice to my backing tracks, but then make sure the backing (the drums) is loud enough so you can really focus on the timing issue.

Very good take. I think there were problems with the timing in general. When you play something like this, it has to be dead straight. Try to achieve more precision and the timing will improve. Everything else was OK.

Good take. Again, the timing problems are present, you need to work it out!
