it's simple Kaz, if your amp is distorting, and you put reverb in front, it will distort the reverb too. Now, if the distortion on the amp is not big, reverb can pass to some extent. Just be careful. I suggest you experiment a bit and see how much of the reverb you can achieve and make it sound nice, with how much preamp distortion.
As far as DS1 goes, put it in front of the reverb and it will not affect the quality of it in any way. What amp is that btw? -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

It has one, it's in the front, those two jacks on the left upper side:
one says IN, other OUT, something like preamp out (send), poweramp in (return). Plug the input of a reverb preamp out, and output of a reverb into poweramp in. It should work. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE
